Listen to all 151 minutes of John Cage's: Empty Words. If you can't commit to all 151 minutes, listen to the first 20. You'll miss all the nuances, but you'll understand the basics. (What a loss, though.)

This happened in Milan, on December 2, 1977. The Sex Pistols were gaining full steam at the same time, but not in Milan.  Hmmm.  I wish Cage had recorded some tracks with PIL, but he didn't. I take that back. That would have been a bad idea.
