Ten-Letter Concrete Poems

In the second half of today's class we'll be working in groups to make brief concrete poems. Please note, I didn't use the word "write" in the previous sentence. Randomly choose two cards, copy the five-letter words on them exactly in the order they were chosen. Arrange the concrete letters upright in the bookshelves (one word in each "box"), have Reid take a photograph, repeat the process. The letters were made of actual concrete by Corcoran graduate, Nilay Lawson, an artist and graphic designer based out of Los Angeles.

There are not enough letters to go around; I know this. When you need a letter shout out your request, b/c someone else has it. I imagine it will be pleasantly chaotic. The "U" can also serve as the "C", likewise the "H" and the "I", and the "D", "P", and "B" (all lower case). No creative misspellings, please.

Here is a video link to a project I made with the letters a couple of years ago:  Homing
